Leona is a tank and a support champion. She has an immense amount of CC built in and has the perfect initiation for AOE team compositions. She is one of the tankiest support champions in the game with an incredible amount of crowd control. She is very good at taking advantages of mistakes made by the other team by preparing chain cc for your team.

However she has no sustain (heal) in lane, for herself or her duo partner. She's considered a snowball support champion and need kills in lane so need to be played very aggressive. She has low base stat values for HP and her movement speed is very slow.

Sustain does not counter Leona. Alistar and Janna can mess up with Leona's initiation and have it backfire.
